A rich land… of delicacies

The Caramel Gallery is an educational space of 350 m² which allows you to observe the production workshops of Isigny Caramels and which also presents you the richness of the Isigny soil. Come and discover the complete manufacturing cycle of Caramels d’Isigny, from the mixing of the raw materials to the packaged candy! Let’s go for a gourmet visit!

Many cider farms offer their products for sale and tasting, including our partner Vergers de Romilly located 6 km from the campsite. Guided tours of the farm are offered especially for our campsite to understand the making of cider.

The oysters of Grandcamp

The oyster of the oyster farming base of Grandcamp/Baie des Veys has its own name: ” The special oyster of Isigny “. It is fleshy and crunchy (that’s why it can be cooked) and its reputation is well established. Normandy is the 1st oyster farming region in France. Many medals are won every year at the Paris Agricultural Show.

Scallops and fish

Grandcamp-Maisy, located 10 km from the campsite, is one of the most active fishing ports on the Normandy coast with no less than 45 boats! The fishermen bring back all sorts of fish, shellfish and crustaceans such as sole, plaice, pollack, seafood, whelks, lobsters, cockles, mussels, crabs… but the star of Grandcote is without a doubt the scallop!

New : Guided tours of the port are offered on certain days when the shells are landed to learn all about this precious mollusc and to dissect it like a pro!
