The castle of Balleroy-sur-Drome<\/strong> was built in 1631 by the architect Fran\u00e7ois Mansart. This imposing building is fully restored and furnished. You can visit it as well as its French gardens and its English park. In one of the outbuildings, it is possible to visit the balloon museum<\/strong>, created by Malcolm Forbes, the former owner and fervent balloon fan. The Castle of Colombi\u00e8res<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Ch\u00e2teau de Colombi\u00e8res, <\/strong>11 km from the campsite, is one of the most notable military fortresses of Lower Normandy in the days of feudalism. This listed historical monument is located between Bayeux and Isigny-sur-Mer near the D-Day landing beaches. The castle is surrounded by a water moat and a neat and romantic park. From William the Conqueror to the Second World War, its defensive vocation makes this residence the witness of a thousand years of history.
