Caen Memorial

Designed by the architect Jacques Millet in the middle of Normandy with the help of the museographer Yves Devraine, the Caen Memorial is a museum whose theme is entirely focused on peace. The President of the French Republic, François Mitterrand, inaugurated it on June 6, 1988 in the presence of the heads of state or government of eleven other countries involved in the Battle of Normandy.
